| Many thanks to everyone who helped the Dedham community in any way during the power outages which occurred during the recent ice storm and blizzard.

Through the help of many, power was quickly restored to the Dedham Legion Centennial Center which was used as one of the warming centers for Carroll County. Volunteers prepared and delivered food to those wishing to have a warm meal. Thank you to the Legion and the Dedham Fire Department for your help.
A special thank you, also, to the employees of our local power companies, as well as the power companies from neighboring states, for their many hours of work in an attempt to restore power to our community.

Located in southern Carroll County in west central Iowa, Dedham was incorporated in 1883, 14 years after the first settlers arrived. The residents of Dedham, primarily of German descent, celebrated their Quasquicentennial Celebration on June 27-28, 2008.
The "perfect place to raise a family," Dedham is a small town that comes to life with its many activities and annual celebrations. A town where young and old enjoy each other's company and work together to keep the community thriving.
Dedham extends an invitation to you to "make our town, your town."
