Dedham First Responders
The Dedham First Responders have been serving the City of Dedham since 1988. During this time the First Responders have responded to over 255 calls including trauma, car accidents, and medical emergencies. There have been over 25 Dedham residents who have volunteered to answer these calls and complete the continuing educational requirements necessary to maintain their certification.
The local unit maintains one ambulance equipped with the supplies necessary to respond to local calls. All Dedham First Responders are trained in basic life support, CPR, use of an automatic heart defibrillator, and combi-tube. Continuing education is required to recertify and remain an active member of the unit.
