Sons of American Legion
The Sons of the American Legion (SAL) is a branch of the American Legion. Members are required to have a descendant or living relative who served or is serving in a branch of the United States military. The Dedham SAL has over 180 current members and is active in the community.
SAL activities include:
...sponsorship of local minor and major league baseball teams
...awarding of annual scholarship to local graduates
...donation of flags to schools in Carroll County
...support of junior shooting sport
...setting up an Avenue of Flags throughout the community
Officers include: Commander Mike Sporrer; Vice-Commander Brian Hathcock; Adjutant Mike Wendl; and Finance Officer Jim Schultes.
